Steven works in all areas of podiatry but has a special interest in lower limb biomechanics. He is particularly passionate about sports injuries therapy, paediatric (children’s) podiatry and footwear technologies. Steven graduated from the University of Western Sydney and since then has spent time at various hospitals and in multidisciplinary practices where he places an emphasis on a team approach to patient care. This has also given him extra insight on the mechanics of the body enabling him to better understand (even when misdiagnosed by others) how a problem in the lower limb may influence the whole body (upper and lower limbs). This enables Steven to customise a treatment regime including: biomechanical causes of back, hip, knee, leg, ankle and foot pain, prescription of corrective foot orthotics, tailored advice on appropriate stretching and strengthening training programs as well as individual specific requirement in running shoes/football boots and other sporting footwear, and treatment of foot and ankle disorders, including skin and nail conditions. Foot/ankle strapping, cupping, dry needling/acupuncture, foot and leg mobilisation/manipulation, deep tissue massage/myofascial techniques are some of the treatments that he specialises in to help relieve his patients.
Matt originally hails from the green rolling hills of Northern Ireland. After his family moved to Australia, Matt developed a love for all things sport related, especially basketball and weightlifting. The warmer weather was a welcome benefit. Matt completed a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science and is a qualified Doctor of Physiotherapy. Physiotherapy evolved as a natural progression for Matt to satisfy both being involved in sports and biomechanics, with the added bonus of being able to help people achieve their goals. Over the years Matt’s Physiotherapy knowledge was shared at Hakoah Premier League Football Club, Sydney Grammar Basketball and was Head of S&C for Scots College Firsts Basketball. Matt strives to get clients back to their goals as safely and effectively as possible through tailoring treatment strategies to the individual, in a shared alliance between client and practitioner. Veronica has completed a Bachelor of Sports and Exercise Science (Hons) Major in Clinical Exercise Physiology (UQ) 2017, studying Master of Physiotherapy (USyd). Veronica has a great passion in working with various musculoskeletal and chronic conditions ranging from acute to chronic pain conditions, return to sport protocols, pre-op and post-op rehab and much more. As an Exercise Physiologist, Veronica truly believes in the notion of using individualized, evidence based exercise programs as medicine and a health remedy to live a healthy active lifestyle, while improving the individual’s quality of life both physically and mentally. Now, with the goal to become a Physiotherapist, Veronica believes that her passion of exercise, experience and being a former athlete will aid in developing her clinical practice skills and excelling in musculoskeletal rehabilitation and sports injuries which is where my passion lies. Representing Hong Kong at an international level playing hockey developed her love for sports at an early age, making health and fitness and integral part of her life from very early on. Now, still enjoying hockey and more recently weightlifting, Veronica has developed a love for understanding the human body at a more biomechanical level and enforces the notion that rehabilitation ultimately derives from mastering very simple movement patterns and performing those to the best of your ability no matter what age, injury or condition you are suffering from. Veronica is an empathetic, friendly and outgoing individual, and loves educating patients on the importance of movement as medicine. She loves sharing her passion and knowledge to help individuals live an active and pain-free lifestyle, reach their goals and most importantly improve their overall quality of life.
